Jesse Buerk is the Manager of the Office of Capital Programs at the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. In this role, he oversees the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the 4-county NJ portion of the DVRPC region, as well as the TIP for the 5-county PA region. With a varied background including Congestion Management, project development and coordination, and equity analysis, Mr. Buerk seeks to align performance-based planning and programming analysis with local and regional planning goals. He has served as co-chair of the I-95 Corridor Coalition’s Probe Data Analytics (PDA) Suite User Group for the past decade, while also working closely with PennDOT District 6 to provide planning assistance for the multi-year, multi-billion-dollar reconstruction of I-95 in Philadelphia. He has collaborated with other DVRPC staff on a variety of intiatives to incorporate equity considerations into transportation planning and programming.
Jesse attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison as an undergraduate and received a Master of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He co-manages the DVRPC Bike-Friendly Resurfacing Program, winner of the APA-PA 2020 Award for Best Project, Program or Practice.
