Elaine is a Public Interest Designer from Puerto Rico. She is passionate about empowering local communities through participatory design, planning, and collective policy response. Elaine leads Connective’s Ecosystem Change Initiatives, has designed and re-built homes with Hurricane survivors, and facilitated placed-based, equity-building efforts that address affordable housing, climate disaster recovery, and community development issues.
