Leah Chambers, AICP, RLA is the founder and Principal of Outside Voices, a community engagement, public policy, and planning consultancy in Houston, Texas. Leah works with governments and organizations on how to better engage communities in policymaking and planning projects. She uses her skills in systems thinking, collaboration, and facilitation to envision new ways for how governments can partner with communities to leverage their impact and build trust. Her blend of expertise as a community planner, engagement lead, and senior policy advisor provides her with a unique capacity to advocate for successful solutions that are equitable, resilient, and community-driven.
Leah is originally from Florida, but lived in Oakland, Beijing, and Paris before landing in Houston. Prior to founding Outside Voices, Leah was a Senior Policy Advisor to Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo and a community planner in several firms across the country. She is a Presidential Leadership Scholar and both a Certified Planner and Registered Landscape Architect.
