Megan Day, AICP is a Senior Energy Planner at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. She serves as the lab's subject matter expert on state, local, and tribal equitable clean energy planning and large-scale solar development. Her work includes leading the development of the State and Local Planning for Energy (SLOPE) platform, which delivers dozens of datasets resolved at jurisdicitonal levels, and the Scenario Planner which shows county-level projections of future emissions and energy consumption scenarios to enable more data-driven energy planning. Through the SolSmart program, Megan works with communities across the country to address solar in planning and zoning codes. Megan currently leads to LA100 Equity Strategies modeling and analysis team in identifying pathways for equitable transitions to 100% clean energy in Los Angeles. Her previous experience includes utility-scale PV development and deployment, nonprofit management, and climate action planning.
