Bill Cesanek, AICP, is a Vice President and practice leader for environmental and infrastructure planning at CDM Smith. With more than 30 years of experience, he works to advance interdisciplinary approaches to urban, infrastructure, and water resource planning. Bill works closely with major cities on green infrastructure and water resource initiatives, such as Philadelphia, and leads climate resilience/hazard mitigation projects. He chaired the American Planning Association’s Water Task Force from 2014 to 2017, and currently co-chairs APA’s Water and Planning Network. Bill co-authored the PAS report “Planners and Water”. He is also an adjunct professor in the Bloustein Graduate School of Planning at Rutgers University, teaching sustainable infrastructure planning.
