Jennifer Senick, PhD. Jennifer is Sr. Executive Director of the Rutgers University centers for Green Building and Urban Policy Research at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Urban Planning and Public Policy in New Jersey. Areas of expertise include sustainable development, energy policy, healthy communities and green building and her research has been supported by NSF, and U.S. depts of Energy, Housing and Urban Development, and the USGBC and APA. Senick leads the Center’s program and policy evaluation for NJ’s Clean Energy Program and is active in Rutgers’ Sustainability Committee, Energy Institute and the NJ Climate Change Resource Center. She is co-chair of the Sustainable Planning Design and Behavior Knowledge Network, Environmental Design Research Association, a member of APA’s Trend Scouting Foresight Community and the APA International Division. Senick also serves as a Trustee of Children’s Specialized Hospital, RWJBH, NJ and is active in disabilities rights work. She earned a PhD in Urban Planning and Public Policy from Rutgers, an MA in Political Science from UCLA and an AB in Government and Russian from Bowdoin College, Brunswick, ME.
