Stan Slachetka, FAICP, PP, is a Special Projects Planning Leader at Pennoni. He is a licensed professional planner in New Jersey and member of the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners. His areas of expertise include redevelopment, resiliency planning, affordable housing, and community visioning. He has managed and prepared numerous award-winning planning projects including master plans, vision plans, redevelopment plans, affordable housing plans, transit-oriented plans, as well as zoning ordinances and form-based codes. He is a recognized expert in redevelopment planning and co-author of The Redevelopment Handbook: A Guide to Rebuilding New Jersey’s Communities, published jointly by the NJ Department of Community Affairs and APA NJ. He has done innovative work on resiliency planning, including the development of the Index Point Mapping System that illustrates community sustainability and resiliency in a clear and visually intuitive manner. Mr. Slachetka received a Master of City and Regional Planning from Rutgers’ Graduate School – New Brunswick (now the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy) and was a Graduate Fellow of the Eagleton Institute of Politics. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rutgers’ University College – New Brunswick.
