Aaron Tuley, AICP, has over 30 years’ experience specializing in urban / regional design and planning, heritage (natural, cultural, and scenic) resource management, and place-based, spatial and policy planning initiatives. Throughout his career, Aaron has worked on several innovative and advanced planning programs and projects including initiating the regional design program and drafting the state enabling legislation for Louisiana’s Atchafalaya National Heritage Area; administering / managing the development of the Buffalo Bayou and Beyond Master Plan in Houston; and preparing environmental assessments for the siting of over 1,500 megawatts of wind energy projects throughout Texas and the Midwest. As Southwest District Manager with the Climate Reality Project (2006-2012) Aaron administered the delivery of hundreds of presentations on climate change by a team of over 90 people. In 2022, Aaron co-authored PAS Report 601: Planning for Climate Mitigation and Adaptation. Aaron routinely makes presentations and conducts workshops on the interpretation and management of cultural landscapes, planning for climate change, and environmental and urban corridor planning. Aaron received his Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture from the University of Kentucky, and his Master of Science in Architecture from Louisiana State University.
