Lisa M. Brozey, Vice President is the Planning Market Sector Lead for AECOM in the Greater Pennsylvania Region. Ms. Brozey has over 35 years experience in transporation planning with a focus in NEPA and stakeholder coordination. She is the Project Manager for the I-95 Central and South Philadelphia (CSP) Reconstruction Project. The I-95 CSP Master Plan represents a high-level summary of the tranporation purpose and need and preliminary transportation concepts proposed for further analysis. It has been determined that future vehicular volumes at the Broad Street interchange will increase. PennDOT, the prime project sponsor, is looking at solutions to address pedestrian and bicycle traffic to and from the Navy Yard, during and after construction is completed, to reduce conflicts with vehicle traffic. By adding the all-electric AV shuttle, we are assessing the possibility to the reduce of pedestrian vehicular conflicts at the I-95 / Broad Street ramps, reduce carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases (GHG) generated from idling cars and trucks waiting in queues for crossing pedestrian and bicycle traffic and demonstrate that an all-electric AV shuttle system can operate successfully in Philadelphia and can be scaled to incorporate other geographical areas within the City and State.
