Max Dickson, AICP (he/him) is a landscape designer and urban planner at OLIN. He is committed to creating socially-engaged spaces that reflect those who live, use, and experience a place. In his work, Max is interested in the intersection of environmental design and cultural ecology and how the landscape has the potential to be the fabric that ties people and ecologies together. With degrees in landscape architecture and urban planning from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, Max has worked closely with various public agencies and community groups with site design to large-scale master planning efforts. At OLIN, his work has focused on district-scale urban spaces, as well as leading an emergent research effort through OLIN Labs called PrideScapes, an exploration of LGBTQ+ landscapes and people within the field of Landscape Architecture. He has spoken at various local and national conferences, most recently the 2022 National American Society of Landscape Architecture Conference and The Cultural Landscape Foundation’s Oberlander Prize Forum II.
