Christiana has nearly 15 years of expertise in hydrologic modeling and ecological restoration, with a focus on freshwater and tidal habitats, living shorelines using natural and nature-based features, spatial analysis, and environmental mapping. Her extensive knowledge of Ecology and GIS technology and methodology is complemented by her experience with database development, 3-D modeling, remote sensing, and CAD software, including HydroCAD and the United States Army Corps of Engineers HEC-HMS software.
As a Certified Floodplain Manager and GIS Professional, Christiana performs flood mitigation and wetland hydrology modelling in riverine and coastal systems and incorporates projected changes in sea level rise, precipitation, and temperature. Christiana is experienced with evaluating the impacts of climate change by identifying vulnerable areas, both ecological and urban, and providing mitigation opportunities. As a Project Manager, she oversees numerous ecological restoration design and geospatial projects, including vulnerability assessments and hazard mitigation planning mapping. Additionally, Christiana manages several wetland restoration projects that provide ecosystem services to mitigate flood risks, improve water quality, and strengthen storm resiliency.
