Lindsey Scannapieco is the Founder of Scout, an urban design and development practice that activates underutilized spaces through creative programming and innovative development. Scout's largest project to date is the redevelopment of the Bok building into an innovative space for makers, artisans, and entrepreneurs. The project has been recognized with the ULI Philadelphia Vision Award for Transformative Development, the Center for New Urbanism (CNU) Charter Award and longlisted by Dezeen in the Adaptive Reuse Architecture category. Scout's work has been featured in numerous publications including Conde Nast Traveller, NYTimes, Grid Magazine, GOOD Magazine, FT Weekend, Le Cool and The Guardian. Other Scout projects include a pop-up cinema in Hackney Wick, the redevelopment of an industrial complex in Providence, RI for makers and work-force development, and a temporary riso printing studio for the PHS Flower Show.
In the community, Lindsey sits on the Board on the Fleisher Arts Memorial and on the Advisory Committee for the Knight Foundation Philadelphia. Lindsey is also the co-President of the Friends of FDR Park.
Lindsey holds a B.S. in Real Estate from the University of Southern California and MSc in City Design and Social Science from the London School of Economics.
