Several new programs and funding streams related to electric vehicles and electric-vehicle charging infrastructure were made available in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. This presentation offers a national-level view from EVNoire – an organization that focuses on e-mobility best practices and e-mobility diversity, equity, and inclusion – and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials. Presenters stress the importance of centering equity in planning efforts to design efficient charging networks. This high-level overview offers participants an opportunity to learn more about priorities and goals and resources they can leverage when planning for charging networks and implementation. A state DOT planning director rounds out the presentation with a boots-on-the-ground perspective on best practices and lessons learned throughout planning and implementation.
