This course is geared to a spectrum of general and specialist practicing physicians or learners with interest in refining their understanding of neurovascular imaging. Using basic and advanced imaging techniques, topics are segregated into understanding the anatomy of the brain and spine , and the fundamentals of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke diagnosis and treatment using neuro-interventional techniques.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session, participants will be able to review normal vascular anatomy of the brain and spine using neuroradiological imaging tests.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to highlight various normal and abnormal findings of practical relevance to the neurological practitioner.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to review causes of hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke using neuroradiological tests.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to review indications for outpatient and inpatient testing for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to describe neuro-interventional procedures for treating and preventing hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke.
