This course is meant to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of childhood stroke. The information covered will range from pathophysiology, to acute management, to secondary prevention. Presenters will discuss how the processes and outcomes in children differ from those in the adult population.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss the differences between stroke in children and adults and how age impacts outcome
Provide information about the current evidence for therapies in various forms of childhood stroke
Understand the secondary complications of childhood stroke
