Sex and gender issues have significant impact on neurological care from across the lifespan from adolescence, young adults, pregnancy, ageing and menopause. These important issues span all neurological specialties, but have been most studied in stroke, epilepsy, headache and demyelinating diseases. Our course will explore our current understanding of key issues in these specialties and highlight emerging research that can advance our understanding of sex and gender issues in neurology.
