This interactive course is designed to engage learners in discussions about neurosurgical complication management and avoidance. Speakers will present actual cases where complications were encountered and encourage learners to provide feedback and management options. Topics will be covered in a fast paced manner and will include cases on: vascular neurosurgery, tumour and skull base neurosurgery, spinal neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery, neurosurgical infections and carotid artery disease.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session particpants will be able to identify complications that can occur as a result of preoperative neurosurgical decision making.
At the end of this session partipcants will be able to identify complications that can occur as a result of intraoperative techinical neurosurgical decisions and manouvers.
At the end of this sessions particpants will be able to identify complications that can occur as a result of postoperative neurosurgical decision making.
