Welch Professor of Urology, Vice Chair and Program Director

Dr. Sundaram is presently the director of minimally invasive surgery and the Welch Professor of Urology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is also Vice Chair (QI) and Program Director. He has directed the Endourological Society recognized fellowship in Minimally Invasive Urology since 2003. He was director of the fellowship in minimally invasive urology at Washington University in St. Louis before moving to Indiana University in 2002.
Dr. Sundaram has over 170 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in several urologic organizations. He represents the North Central Section on the Board of Directors of the American Urological Association. He is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Endourology and is Senior Editor of Videourology. He is on the Board of Directors of the Society of Academic Urologists. He has been invited faculty and speaker at multiple institutions and at national and international meetings. Dr. Sundaram's area of expertise includes robotic and other minimally invasive surgical approaches. He specializes in kidney cancer and other conditions of the kidney; adrenal tumors and prostate cancer.
