This course will review several unique cases where optical coherence tomography (OCT) was used as the main diagnostic technology to make the appropriate diagnosis. The purpose of this course is to highlight the use of OCT in relatively new and/or unique ways in hopes of broadening the attendees’ comfort level with using OCT outside typical glaucoma and maculopathy situations.
Learning Objectives:
Upon conclusion of this activity, attendees will be able to:
Identify unique case presentations where optic coherence tomography (OCT) can be used more confidently as part of the diagnostic workup
Simplify ocular/neuro anatomy associated with these unique uses of OCT
Gain knowledge to prepare for use of OCT outside of the more general ocular disease scenarios such as glaucoma and/or maculopathies (ie. post stroke, ocular torsion, OCT-angiography, and anterior segment)
