From 1991 to 1999, Jim honed sales, contract negotiation, and relationship management skills at The Cincinnati Financial Corporation as an Insurance Underwriter and Territory Manager for northeastern Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania.
Following his tenure at Cincinnati Financial, Jim accepted a position in 1999 with Gilbert's Risk Solutions in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and cultivated a zero-revenue segment of commercial business into a multimillion dollar portfolio.
In 2009, Jim resigned from Gilbert’s and co-founded Eyes of Faith Optical with his wife, Amy. The Schneiders have since turned a fledgling eyewear company into a major niche collection in the optical industry.
Since 2013, Jim has served as a board member for Sight Ministries International based in Kingwood, TX, and was commissioned as a Fellow of the CS Lewis Institute in 2018.
Since 2019, Eyes of Faith has collaborated with Delilah, America’s most listened-to woman in radio, to use a portion of proceeds from sales of four distinctive EOF frame styles to help build homes for orphans and widows at Point Hope Village in Ghana, West Africa.
In August of 2020, Jim became a member of Business Accelerator®, a 24-month leadership performance program, offered through the company Full Focus.
In June of 2022, Jim co-founded Sharon City Eyeworks to bring an advanced, comprehensive eye care experience to the EOF Optical, LP headquarters.
Jim has been profiled in many publications including a cover story about leadership in Vision Monday magazine, a feature article in Ministry Today magazine, a cover story about Social Purpose in Vision Monday, and numerous speaking engagements and radio/TV interviews to inspire others with the Eyes of Faith story. Jim is also recognized as a best-selling author by contributing to the book "Faith into Abundance.”
Jim is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and lives in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania with his wife, Amy.
