Andrew G. Lee, MD: No relevant disclosure to display
Back by popular demand, one of SECO's favorite speakers, Neurologist Andrew Lee will focus this special session on the pupil. Topics will range from anatomy and physiology to the pathogenesis of pupil anomalies, including relative afferent pupillary defect (RAPD), light near dissociation, and anisocoria in the light (parasympathetic lesions) and the dark (sympathetic Horner syndrome).
Learning Objectives:
Upon conclusion of this activity, attendees will be able to:
Describe the anatomy of the afferent and efferent pupillary pathways (including ocular sympathetic and parasympathetic pathways)
Define the key and distinctive clinical finding in the relative afferent pupillary defect and anisocoria in the light and dark
Correlate the neuroimaging with specific pupil pathologies above
