Mardi Krenek, brings strong skills and a diverse career in supporting organizations with quality systems, organizational assessments, strategic planning, knowledge management, and process improvement and performance management. Mardi assists organizations in building internal capacity and aligning improvement initiatives to strategic goals.
While she has worked globally within the private sector, she has over twenty years working in education and early learning, assessing, training, and coaching organizations across the United States.
Prior to partnering with APQC in 2016, Mardi founded and led Krenek Consulting for the past decade. In addition, Mardi worked for the Stupski Foundation where she co-developed an assessment instrument to look at organizations from a systems perspective.
Mardi brings a deep heritage and aligned vision to APQC as she spent 23 years with APQC earlier in her career. She played a major role in the first White House Conference on Productivity that led to the creation of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in the early 1980s. In addition, she played a role in the creation of the APQC’s International Benchmarking Clearinghouse; helping organizations, both nationally and internationally, to identify and learn from best practices. During her work with APQC, she co-authored Benchmarking: A Guide for Your Journey to Best-Practice Processes.
Mardi has served as an instructor for an instructional leadership doctoral course at the University of Texas at Austin. A graduate of Texas State University, she received a B.S. in Education and Communications.
