In this work, a DC/DC converter was designed, validated and built to fulfil the strict demands of aircraft applications. A fully controlled, wide input voltage (200 to 330 V) high frequency (1 MHz) and high power density converter (20 kW/L for 1 kW) is presented. The output voltage in this application is 28 V, thus, a high voltage step-down was required for which a three-phase LLC stack topology was selected. The topology is not yet well-explored in the literature and research efforts will be made to design and optimize it.
