This paper utilizes and electrical-thermal co-design approach on a PMSM motor drive intended for electric aircraft applications. The main purpose of this project is to achieve the necessary high power density metrics through improved the gate driver and cold plate designs. For the cooling system\'s optimization, CAD modeling and FEM simulations are extensively used in tandem with the electrical system\'s circuit simulations and experimental tests. This method aims to provide more accurate and reliable thermal simulation results.
