Dr. Athar Hanif is a Senior Research Associate Engineer at OSU CAR. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He has more than 10 years of experience in control and optimization of hybrid and electric vehicles and micro grids, high power inverters, high power industrial and propulsion electric machines including the aerospace applications, control of power electronics circuits, high performance integrated powertrain and Rapid Control Prototyping using Software-in-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) concepts and setup. He has worked on different research projects especially the development of high performance electric drive systems for the aerospace and automotive applications. These projects were funded by NASA Headquarters, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and automotive industry in US.
