Christian Rainer was born in Carinthia, Austria and visited the Technical School Electrical Engineering and Control Technology. After that he studied Electrical Engineering at Graz University of Technology.
From September 2010 to May 2012 he was an R/D Engineer in a research group for super-efficient electric vehicle prototypes within TERA, Graz. He joined Infineon Power & Sensor System division in May 2013 and was starting as DC/DC Application Engineer for low- and medium-voltage MOSFETs, then he changed in the System Innovation and Software Group from May 2015 till December 2022 at Infineon Austria. Since January 2023 he is working at Infineon as DCDC System Innovation Engineer in the DCDC business line. The focus of his work are innovative power converter topologies, definition of advanced power semiconductor devices and chip embedding techniques for semiconductor switches and passives.
Christian Rainer has published several IEEE conference/journal papers/articles and has >13 US & EP patents granted in the areas of power electronics and power conversion.
