Peter A. Turlo is a Senior Principal Engineer - Automotive Reliability Methods and Validation CoE at onsemi based in US.
He is holding a BSEE and various lifelong learning accreditations. Peter’s vision is to foster a collaborative environment in standards development for the collective benefit of the automotive semiconductor industry.
In 1993, he became active in the semiconductor manufacturing industry in the discipline of Failure Analysis with follow up responsibilities in the areas of Lab Management and Customer Quality Support. In the employ of a semiconductor supplier to the automotive industry, he built relationships with the automotive OEM and evolving Tier-1 partners. A later shift to Reliability Engineering enabled him to support qualification method development to meet the automotive customer’s expectations for product capability, quality, and reliability.
The increasing level of responsibility in the automotive semiconductor product development and qualification, along with contact with the end users, enabled his career path to now be focused on industry standards development, roadmap definition, internal SOP strategy, and automotive semiconductor product qualification method development through a center-of-excellence (CoE) paradigm.
Peter is currently engaged in Automotive Product Development, Standards Definition, Failure Analysis, Reliability Engineering, Manufacturing Support, Quality Systems, and Functional Safety. He is actively affiliated with JEDEC, AEC, AIAG, IPC, IEC, JEITA, ECPE, PSMA, IEEE, SAE, ASM, ISTFA, ESDA, GAAC and the Industry Council.
