Professor Peter R. Wilson PhD MBA BEng FEIT FHEA SMIEEE is Head of the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department, University of Bath, UK. He has published more than 100 papers, several books, and a patent in power electronics and electronic systems engineering. He received his B.Eng. degree (honors) from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom; his M.B.A. degree from Edinburgh Business School, United Kingdom; and his Ph.D. degee from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. He has worked for Ferranti, Scotland; and Analogy Inc.; the University of Southampton as a research fellow, lecturer, senior lecturer, and reader between 2002 and 2015; and joined the University of Bath, United Kingdom, in 2015 as a full professor. His research interests include the modeling and simulation of power electronics, particularly for aerospace and automotive applications, magnetic components, integrated circuit design, silicon photonic systems, electronic design automation, artificial neural networks, and robotics and autonomous systems. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and technology in the UK, served as vice president of standards in the IEEE Power Electronics Society 2013-2019, chaired the International Technology Roadmap for Wide Bandgap Power Semiconductors (ITRW) and is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
