Muhammad Abdelraziq, Ph.D. Student, ECE Major
From Cairo, Egypt, Muhammad was admitted to the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University in the fall of 2016. There, he studied pre-engineering for one year before transferring to Murray State University in KY, where he earned his BS in Engineering Physics. Currently, Muhammad is in a direct Ph.D. program at NC state university, where he is also working towards finishing his Master's degree. Muhammad is employed in the ECE department at NC State University as a graduate TA. In addition, Muhammad is currently working as an RA in the FREEDM center. Muhammad’s main interests are power electronics converter topologies and Wireless Power Transfer. Additionally, he wants to expand his knowledge of resonant power converters, their optimization, and their packaging techniques.
Outside of work and academics, Muhammad is an advocate of STEM education. He worked for the TRIO program from 2017 to 2019, empowering less-privileged students. Finally, some of Muhammad's hobbies are reading Arabic literature, gaming, and biking.
