Franco Degioanni was born in Rio Cuarto, Argentina. He received the Ing. degree in electronics engineering from the National University of Cordoba, Cordoba, Argentina, in 2014. He also received his M.A.Sc degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2018. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree with the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada. His current research interests include the study of modeling techniques and linear and nonlinear strategies for power electronic converters applied to renewable energy systems. Mr. Degioanni has been a recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, including the Top 1 Electronic Engineer Award from the National University of Cordoba (2014) and a scholarship from the Argentinean Ministry of Science and Technology, from 2013 to 2014. He also received the Four Year Fellowship (FYF) award from the University of British Columbia in 2018.
