Xia Du was born in Henan, China. She received her B.S. degree in Automation in 2017 from Hunan University of Science and Technology, Xiangtan, Hunan, China. During the period between 2017 - 2018, she worked as a general manager assistant in Dongguan Chuang Ming Battery Technology Company, Ltd., Dongguan, China. She received her M.S. degree in electrical Engineering in 2020 from Minnesota State University, Mankato, MN, USA. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. degree at the University of Arkansas. Her research is focused on the power electronics, renewable energy integration and smart grid. This includes the modeling and controller design for the bidirectional DC-DC converters, active gate driver design, current sensor design. She is expected to receive her Ph.D. degree in electrical Engineering in 2024. Part of her work was published in four peer-reviewed journals and conferences. She is a member of IEEE. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, biking, and reading.
