Arafat Hasnain (Student Member, IEEE) is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA. He has received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University, Villanova, PA, USA, in 2017 and 2019, respectively. His current research interests include the design and modeling of high-efficiency, compact wide-bandgap-based converters, and high-frequency magnetics for applications in renewable energy and transportation electrification. He is also particularly interested in single-stage topology solutions for DC-AC and AC-DC converters with wide-bandgap device integration.
