Tareq Hossen is from Chittagong, Bangladesh. He received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh in 2013. He obtained his M.Sc. degree from the University of North Dakota, USA in 2018. He is currently a Ph.D. student at Kansas State University. He joined SPECS Research Group in January 2020. His research interests are power electronics and power systems.
He is currently working on self-secure and self-healing grid-interactive smart inverters to maintain stable grid operation under varying grid conditions and cyberattacks.
