Sergio Jimenez is a graduate research assistant at the University of Alabama working at the Advanced Controls and Energy Systems Laboratory. His research interests include the design and characterization of wide bandgap power electronics applications and medium voltage power modules architectures. He received two B.S. degrees in electronics engineering and electrical engineering from Universidad Nacional, Bogota, Colombia, and an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA, where he is currently working towards his Ph.D. degree.
