Heonyoung Kim received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Korea University, Seoul, Korea, in 2013 and 2015, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, all in electrical engineering. He is currently with Renesas Electronics America, Durham, NC, USA. He was a Software and Control Intern with Danfoss Drives, Durham, NC, in 2020, where he worked on neutral-point voltage balancing control of three-level neutral-point clamped inverter. His research interests include DC-DC converter for battery charger application, high-frequency motor drives and dv/dt filter design.
