Aleksandar Milic, from School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade.
Since 2017, employed at the University of Belgrade as an teaching and research assistant at Department for power systems and drives, and PhD student. Currently, he is engaged in 5 courses at undergraduate and master studies. Author of 11 scientific papers, 3 of them in journals. Participant in 3 industrial and 5 research projects in the field of light electric vehicles, with a focus on drive units and power electronics in the power range up to 5kW. Mentor to the student team which participate in front of the University of Belgrade at the IEEE International Future Energy Challenge. During the five-year period as a mentor, he worked with over 400 students in cooperation with 54 companies, which resulted in 5 developed prototype solutions for various applications and several IEEE awards and honors.
He focused his master's thesis research on multiphase electric machines in integrated battery chargers for electric vehicles, while his undergraduate research was based on the modeling of synchronous machines in the power gird systems. The field of research at PhD studies if focus on a sensor-less digital control of three-phase induction motors based on rotor slot harmonics and estimator structures with adaptive digital filters and phase-locked loops.
