Nil Patel (Student Member, IEEE) received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Gujarat Technological University, Gujarat, India, in 2014. He received his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics, Machines, and Drives from the Institute of Technology, Nirma University, India, in 2016. He is presently working towards a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science at Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada. His research interests include ac–dc converters, dc-dc converters, and dc–ac converters, IC Design, converter control techniques, wireless power transfer, transportation electrification, and renewable energy systems.
Mr. Patel received the Gold Medal for securing the highest academic standing for his bachelor's studies in 2014. Also, He was a recipient of the “Shri Devang Mehta IT Award”, for his academic excellence during his undergraduate in 2014. He was the recipient of the Hitachi R&D Award, for his outstanding work in his master's thesis in 2016, the Concordia University International Award of Excellence, and the Concordia Merit Scholarship during his ongoing Ph.D.
