David A. Porras Fernandez got his bachelor degree in Electrical Enginieering at Universidad Fidelitas, San Jose, Costa Rica in 2015. His master degree in Control Systems at Universidad Nacional del Sur, Bahia Blanca Argentina in 2019 and is currently pursuing his PhD degree at the University of Arkansas. He works with the power electronics system group that deals with high-frequency custom magnetics design for medium voltage applications using SiC power modules. His interests are high-power power electronic converters, high-frequency transformers and optimization design.
