Skye Reese, M.S., is a PhD student researching as part of the Colorado Power Electronics Center (CoPEC) at CU Boulder. She received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2020 and her M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from CU Boulder in 2022. Her research is focused on bringing data science and machine learning to converter optimization to make an impact on the design of a wide range of converter applications. She has published and presented on machine learning-based optimization tools, component relationships and figures of merit, and the combination of physics- and datasheet-based loss modeling. In her free time she loves to train for marathons, trail running, and endurance cycling.
