Dr. Tomas Sadilek is a Senior Member at the Milan Power Electronics Laboratory.
Tomas Sadilek was born in the northern mountainous region of the Czech Republic. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague in 2007. He completed his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from the Wisconsin Electrical Machines and Power Electronics Consortium (WEMPEC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2022, he received his Ph.D. degree at the FREEDM System Center at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC.
From 2009 to 2013, Tomas worked as a research engineer with Advanced Energy Conversion, an RPI technology spin-off. Between 2014 and 2019, he was a lead research engineer in the Electric Power Organization at the General Electric Research Center in Niskayuna, NY. Tomas was an adjunct faculty at Union College in the 2018/19 academic year. Currently, he is a Senior Member of the R&D Staff at the Milan Power Electronics Laboratory (MPEL), Delta Electronics (Americas) Ltd., Research Triangle Park.
Tomas' primary work and research focus are on electrical and electro-mechanical power converters and their control through intelligent embedded systems.
