Harsha Vardhan received an M.Tech. in power electronics, electrical machines, and drives from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in New Delhi, India, in 2017. He is presently pursuing a PhD in electronic and electrical engineering at the University of Sheffield in Sheffield, United Kingdom, where he is a member of the Electrical Machines and Drives (EMD) Research Group.
From June 2017 to July 2018, he was a Senior R&D engineer at Luminous Power Pvt. Ltd. (Schneider Electric), Gurgaon, India, where he worked on single-phase home inverter efficiency improvement. He served as a Design Engineer for Bloom Energy (I) Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, India, from July 2018 to October 2020, where he was responsible for the grid-tie inverter design. His areas of interest in research include grid-tie/stand-alone inverters (DC-AC), non-resonant DC-DC converters, the design of high-frequency magnetics, and multi-level inverters (DC-AC).
