Aditya Zade is working toward a Ph.D. degree with the Power Electronics Department and ASPIRE (NSF ERC) of Utah State University, Logan, UT, USA. His research interests lie primarily in the design, modeling, and control of converters (dc-ac, dc-dc), wireless power transfer, battery charging systems for electric vehicles, wide band-gap SiC and GaN-based converters, control of switched-mode power converters, resonant and multilevel converters. He received his bachelor's (B.Tech.) degree from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, in 2015, and the master's (M.Tech.) degree from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Karnataka, India, in 2018, both in Electrical Engineering. He has worked as a Senior Research Engineer and Deputy Manager with Hind Rectifiers Limited, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, from 2018 to 2021. During his academic and professional research experience, he has worked on the development of a 500 kVA three-phase locomotives converter used to cater to the power supply to the coaches, modular multilevel power converter based 1 MW wireless power transfer charging infrastructure for a semi-truck, 6000 HP traction converter, power converter based impedance emulation of 5 kVA passive loads for anti-islanding tests, 1 kVA smart solar microgrid inverter (IEEE IFEC-2022 competition winner), and 500 W BLDC motor based e-bike. He has been a recipient of the gold medal for securing the 1st position during his masters.
