Alireza Zare received his B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power engineering from Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, in 2017. From 2018 to 2020, he was pursuing his M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering at Washington State University, Vancouver, WA, USA. From Jun. 2020 to Aug. 2020, Alireza worked as an intern with a focus on variable frequency drive (VFD) and micro inverters for PV applications at the R&D of Phase Technologies LLC, Rapid City, SD. He joined the electrical and computer engineering department at the University of Illinois at Chicago as a Ph.D. student starting fall 2021. His research interests include Power Electronics Hardware Design, Wireless Power Transfer, Application of Power Electronics in Power Systems, and Integration of Renewable Energy Sources.
