Kaichen Zhang received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2018, and the M.S. degree in power electronics from Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark, in 2020. He is currently a research assistant with AAU Energy, Aalborg University, Aalborg, Denmark, where he is a part of the Group of Reliability of Power Electronic Components (REPEC). He was with ABB Corporate Research Center, Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland, in 2019. His research interests include the modeling and validation of power electronic component failure mechanisms application issues, condition monitoring, and the assessment of devices under abnormal conditions.
