Dong Cao, PhD, He is GE EPISCenter professor and associate professor at University of Dayton. His research interests include high power or high frequency wide bandgap devices i.e. SiC or GaN smart gate drive and their applications; high density and high efficiency power conversion for data center, LED driving, electric grid, solar farm, electric vehicle, and fuel cell based UAV/eVTOL applications; health monitoring and lifetime prediction of power converters. He received early career researcher of the year award from NDSU in 2019. He received four prize paper awards from IEEE. He is the associated editor and guest editor for several IEEE Journal and Transactions.
