Recent advances in SiC have led to commercial availability of efficient and cost-effective power switches for automotive and industrial power systems. Meanwhile, power electronics applications increasingly demand for package solutions to maximize the performance of SiC technologies, driven primarily by compact form factor, high thermal conductivity, low parasitic inductance, increased current rating, convenient device integration and superior reliability. These technology directions are defining new standards for power converters.
