High frequency and high density of motor drives worsen the electromagnetic interference (EMI) impact on the system and adjacent communication cables. This paper studies the EMI noise problem in a WBG device\'s motor drive. Firstly, the impact of grounding has been explored on conducted and near field (NF) radiated noise propagation paths. Secondly, a high-frequency cable and motor modeling to predict the EMI noise source and propagation path. Lastly, a novel modified bulk current injection testing and NF mapping technique has been provided.
