Model Predictive Control (MPC) as a nonlinear control method, is being studied for a wide variety of power electronics applications targeting various power ranges. The fast dynamic response, robustness under different load conditions including linear and non-linear loads, multi-objective control, and simplicity are the main features of MPC. In this digest, an enhanced version of the conventional FCS-MPC is proposed which is tailored for multilevel converter control. As a result of utilizing such a method on a 5-L FCMC, the load voltage THD and flying capacitor\'s voltage error decreased significantly which demonstrates the superiority of the proposed EMP-NLC over the conventional FCS-MPC.
