This article proposes a passivity-based admittance shaping method for the grid-side current-controlled LCL-type grid-connected inverters. First, a simple computation delay reduction method is employed to expand the stable damping region up to the Nyquist frequency for the proportional CVF-AD. Then, the output admittance is shaped into passive by using the CVF-AD. Thanks to the passive output admittance, the inverter can operate stably regardless of the grid impedance. Finally, the experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
