A new current measurement method has been introduced that is improved version of today\'s 2 CTs based current measurement method as 1 CT is reduced and digital current observer is implemented in the DSP. The digital observer is also further used in sample correction algorithm even in the case when the controller miss the current sampling. Also with reduced current sensors in the commutation path this measurement method allows the use of SiC and GaN-based device to operate at higher frequencies. The application range is for up to 6 kW and 20 A converters.
